Acupressure & Rehabilitation Therapy

Acupressure Therapy is a healing art that originates from Asia and has been practised for over 3,000 years. Practitioners use their hands to press or trigger "pressure points" on the body.

Applying pressure on these points in the correct way and order releases muscular tension, stimulate the nerves, and promotes the circulation of blood and the body's internal energy which can to treat a wide range of injury and illness.

Acupressure Therapy predates acupuncture and though it predates modern medicine it is based on fundamentals principles which are widely recognised and replicated today in western medicine and supported by modern day science.

“The Nervous System Controls and coordinates all organs and structures of the human body.”
(Gray's Anatomy, 29th ed., page 4)

The picture on the right (click on picture to enlarge) shows the spine and the sophisticated inter linking of the vertebrae and the nervous system which extends throughout the body (shown by the dotted lines). Pain in your body is usually linked to damage in the nervous system which can usually be traced back to the vertebrae. Acupressure Therapy treats the damage to your nervous system meaning it can effectively treat your entire body.

Acupressure therapy has proven extremely effective to patients who suffer from back problems, joint problems (such as frozen shoulders), partial paralysis due to accident or stroke, chronic pain and serious illness.

As with acupuncture, acupressure therapy is based on the same principles of restoring the balance of internal energy by the activation of pressure points throughout the body, however as it does not involve needles rather pressure applied by hands, it is totally safe, sterile and non intrusive meaning therapy is conducted consecutively over a few days not a few weeks.

Unlike acupuncture, acupressure therapy involves the NLL practitioner physically touching the patient. Along with the triggering of pressure points, the NLL practitioner is able to transfer positive energy to the patient to help restore imbalances. Acupressure Therapy there is no need for drugs or surgery.

Without knowing it most of us apply Acupressure on ourselves everyday when we rub a bruise, push our temples when we have a headache or massage our feet at the end of the day.

Unlike other types of manipulation which mainly look to provide relief to the patient and require ongoing regular treatments. Acupressure Therapy takes a holistic approach and looks to cure the patient using a combination of Acupressure Therapy, rehabilitation, exercise and diet which forms the basis of Natural Law Living. Though rehabilitation and lifestyle changes such as exercise and diet is ongoing, the treatments themselves are only for a few days, the rest is done by yourself for yourself.

Continued support is provided by the Clinic in the form of written material, along with regular email contact.
